I have a decent GoFlight config. Some people on other forums asked for practical info on GoFlight modules.

One guy even wanted to see my Pilots Handbook so I posted that info here

What do computers and air conditioners have in common?
They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.

Skittles,
WOW!!! "Decent" is not the word I'd use for it. Pretty darn impressive collection of GoFlight modules you have there.
Take all that stuff you already have........and build a cockpit frame structure like I have constructed (see Homebuild Cockpits Forum).... and maybe add one other computer driving two monitors running the FreeFD glass cockpit software.... and you'd have a really functional simpit.
I would be interested in hearing of any "glitches" you have found with the Goflight setup being that complex. I have a number of modules that I will be using with my simpit... and I want to add a few more. So I am looking out for any "issues"
.
You certainly have a "raft" of the 166 radio units. How do you have them configured?
Have you tried the rotary / pushbutton unit? Some people are reporting problems....... have you had any?
Anyway......... thanks for sharing the website of yours.
best,

I now have 22 modules, daisy-chained into four, externally powered, Belkin 8 port hubs. I have not had any problems, conflicts or glitches. I've been lucky. I even have my TrackIR 2 plugged into the hubs even though the manuf. says not to.
My 166 config has changed this last weekend. I shifted them to the Full rack. Listing here from top to bottom...
GF166 = Transponder
RP-48 = Buttons assigned to the various Idents of the comms
Rotaries assigned to other various functions
GF166 = Com1 with lower buttons assigned to Com1/Com2 and Com1/Nav1
GF166 = Com2 with lower buttons assigned to Com1/Com2 and Com2/Nav2
GF166 = Nav1 with lower buttons assigned to Nav1/Nav2 and Com1/Nav1
GF166 = Nav2 with lower buttons assigned to Nav1/Nav2 and Com2/Nav2
GF166 = ADF
I have three RP-48's. No problems now, I did have to replace one a while ago.
Thank you for your interest...
Joe
