Hi there,

As I have little time to play, I always want to fly on interesting routes (as far as landscape and approach is concerned), but I was sometimes short of ideas.

So I decided to create a database where flight simmers can post their (short) flights ideas: http://www.fsdestinations.com. Among many information on the flight, each one includes the time expected to be spent gate to gate and a powerfull search engine allows virtual pilots to find the right kind of flight for them. It's more oriented for commercial flight flying IFR, but private and VFR is also possible.

The database need to be populated, so everybody is welcomed to add his or her prefered flight.

Regards

This is just what I was looking for.  My maximum attention span on a single flight is about an hour and I was running out of ideas.

Thanks to all for your comments. Fellow flights simmers are starting to populate the database, and I've been doing some improvements (e.g. you can search a flight taking off or landing in a specific country, instead of just searching by airport ICAO code).

We're still in need of your flights ideas, so feel free to go on http://www.fsdestinations.com and let us know what's your best flight!

Hi,

Just a quick reply to give you some news about the project. Thanks to all those who have posted a flight, the database is growing, but your ideas are still welcome.

As many people requested, there are additional aircrafts available to describe a flights. Only liners were
present, but now, you can post a flight that is operated with a general aviation plane. There are only generics planes (1, 2, 3 or 4 engines), so we avoid to load a hudge list of all the possible planes on Earth. Just as a reminder, the airplane field in the database is not mandatory but is supposed to be filled only if the flight is operated in real life.

Another news is the possibility to write a review for a flight (e.g. what was good or what was not), so you can see if the flight worth to be played. In the future, the reviews will be better integrated, so you'll be able to search only for flight that have a review. Also, due to the wider range of fields upon which you can perform a search, there's now a normal (default) and advanced search page.

Regards,
Patrice

Hi,

A quick note to let you know that after many request from users, we have added the possibility to upload/download flightplans (.pln files of MSFS) with the flight description. Remember that flights are posted by fellow simmers, so if they don't upload any flightplan you won't be able to download it (seems logical, no?).

Happy flying on http://www.fsdestinations.com

We have updated the site today.

Now, when you register, you can choose to receive an e-mail each time that a new flight is posted (except if you're the one posting the flight...). Simply go to your account (login first) and check the box "New flights".

Also, if you try one of the exisint flight, please leave us your review (use the link at the bottom of each flight's description). This way, other users will benefit from your experience.

Happy flying on http://www.fsdestinations.com.
