Hi I'm trying to make an aircraft that is the Starship Enterprise. I found a free nice looking 3ds Max model on the internet and converted it to GMAX. I've installed the Make Model SDK but it doesn't work. It always locks up when i try to use the export module in GMAX. Can someone PLEASE help me with this?

I'll include a screenshot just to catch people's intrest:

Nice.  Where did you find that at?  Smiley  As for your problem, are you using the FS2004 gamepack for Gmax?

-Thanks.
-Man I just did a bunch of searching for 3ds Max models, since there are so many more of those than GMAX models floating around, modified it to how I liked it, and used a converter I searched for to make it a GMAX file.
-Yes, I'm using the 2004 gamepack for Gmax. Or at least I'm pretty sure I am, Its was in the SDK list at microsoft.com.

Have you checked the error log?  Look in the directory where the MDL would have been set, and open it up.  It should have a name like <mymodel>.log, and it's a text file you can open in Notepad.

If the face/poly count is high enough exports can take up to 30 minutes depending on your system specs and how much overhead you are running at the time of an export. Often times you will see in the windows Task Manager that Gmax is not responding. Just leave it alone and eventually the export will finish.

It looks like it could be a model from http://www.trekmeshes.ch/.

Yeah a bunch of errors came up. It said there were alot of Corrogated Points or something. Basically there were too many verticies. It was too complex of a model. I switched to a watered down version of the first enterprise and these are the errors:

Model units are 1024.00 units/meter
Sorting by Material...
Optimize Parts...
Welding...
