Hi i am having a problem when i try and connect to multiplayer servers. What happens is i stay in the game for about a hour then the screen freezes, i have tried another graphic card and it done the same, i have updated all the drivers and tried all diffrent ones. I left the game on last night for 7 hours ( not online ) and it did not freeze at all. When it freezes and i get back to desktop the internet is still connected. Can anyone give me any suggestions ?

ps i have a internet sharing connection network connected, but at times when screen has frozen it has been turned off.

I done a complete flight on the 45.23 nvidia driver , i have a geforce 4 ti4200, the flight went ok so i then went back to latest driver from nvidia the 56.72 and within 5 minutes it froze again, but i have been getting the freezing on both drivers so i am going to go back to the 45.23 and do some more test flights and will get back to you ?

Dose it lock up off line?as i am guessing here but i dont think its your video card.if it dosent freez while your off line then its not a video card problem.do you have a firewall enabled?if so disable it long enough to test it online with it off.do you have your resolution set to 800x600x32 this is what microsoft recomends.and have a look in the my documents folder and make shure you have a folder named Flight Simulator Files and make shure its in the my documents folder.if not make a folder and name it Flight Simulator Files.try some of these things and see if any improvement and let me know how it goes.

Update : tried another pc online with game running and it froze within 5 minutes so your guess is as good as mine ?  ???

I think it is looking at a serious connection problem even though i have just upgraded to 1mb connection  Cry

Yes i think your simulator is just fine.the problem is some where in your cable connection.what i would do is contact the provider and inform them of the troubles and let them trouble shoot the problem.

I to would say it is your connection, I don't know anything about cable but I use dial up and if I try and connect after about 5 minutes I will get disconnected.
I can usally stay connected long enough to download the weather and thats it.
This only happens with FS9, I don't have one of them dial-up connections that will disconnect after a certain amount of time like some IP's will do. In order for me to disconnect from the web I must either do it manually or shut off the computer.
I have been wanting to try and fly multiplayer since I discovered flight simming, but never been able to due to the disconnecting, so I don't know if it is something with FS9 (doubt it because I tried fresh reinstalls many times) or my IP.
