I was wondering if anyone could suggest any default airports in the world of FS9 which have exceptional scenic qualities? My current favourite is Sion in the Swiss Alps (LSGS). I like airports in the hills if you understand me.

Heathrow. The surroundings are not that good, but the airport is fantastic if you have a good computer and high settings.

that also happens to be my favourite airport as well the scneery round there is amazing.....others would be dublin intl in ireland.. thats pretty well done out and like dr who said heathrow is pretty funky....

if you fly down the valley from sion you will find some little airfields which are also very nice and some have challenging approaches.....theres also an airport with 1000 ft walls on either side forgot name of it now maybe someone else knows.

I would recommend Sydney's Kingsford-Smith Intl (YSSY). It's an awesome sight at dusk with the skyline in the backround and watching the AI traffic come and go (RWY 34L and 34R are the best ones)!  8)
If your looking for mountains try heading over to Denver (KDEN) or Sea-Tac Intl (KSEA). You can easily see Washington's tallest peak, Mt. Rainier while at KSEA (if there are no clouds in the way)  Roll Eyes
*If your ever in the area and you want to see something interesting at Dodoma Airport (don't remember airport code) in Tanzania (country of Africa) take off from there and head west. You'll notice some strange scenery about 40nm west of the city  8)

...&&Home Airport: NAS Whidbey Island (KNUW)-Oak Harbor Airpark (76S)&&Current FS Location: Seoul/Incheon, South Korea
