To Whom it may concerned,
hiya, i am frm Singapore and i am really crazy abt this fs2002.(COZ I WANT TO BE APILOT Wink

Here's the doubts about the A320-200 aircraft:

1)What is the approach speed 4 this plane? I can't descent perfectly and hence overflew the runway or land before the threshold area.

2)Where do we land? Anywhere along the runway as long as we brake be4 overrunning the runway? On the ''arrows'' or what? THe threshold area???

3)When should we put the gears down? At which stages? The descent? A few minutes be4 landing?

4)If we want to autoland(coz i am bad at this Tongue ), we key in the ILS frequency for the particular runway and press''NAV'' or ''APR''? Then We just land when the
runway comes be4 us?

WELCOME ABOARD......&&SINGAPORE AIRLINES(SQ or SIA) to have A340-500 Leadership for its direct flight to New York:18 hrs total=WORLD RECORD! 2nd in RECORD:SIA Flight SQ20 to Los Angeles;14 hrs in total.Go To singaporeair.com for more details...

Depending on payload and fuel remaining in tank, approach speed for full flaps, expect a speed of around 130-140 kts (don't have the approach speed charts, sorry). Fly the approach with a  2-3 degree upward pitch and expect a vertical speed of around 750 ft....

You should try to land on the touchdown markers, the big white filled rectangles, you can't miss them, they are fairly big Wink

There is no rule when to lower the gear, some pilots prefer to do it rather late (less drag), but try to have it lowered at least 5nm from the runway, but like I said there is no offical rule it's the pilots discretion Smiley

Yes dial in the ILS freq, change NAV source to 'NAV' and try to intercept the localizer before hitting the 'APP' button, otherwize the AP can give a very unstable approach Smiley
