If you're certain it's in the right location & properly installed & activated check the altitude of your airport in FSSC with the actual altitude in FS9. The scenery objects could be underground which is why they don't display.

One of the features I like in FSSC is the Area16N flat area. You can use this to level various parts of the mesh surrounding your airport to any altitude you wish. This saves messing around with manual Flatten switches in Scenery.cfg. If you use this for your existing scenery you will probably have to change what you did previously in AFCAD.

You're welcome to the help. I like messing around. I suspect you must have missed something.

I figured out the location of your airfield from the coords on your shots. Took me a while to figure out the heading but I quickly plonked this down with FSSC. Not sure how well it shows up. It has a runway with a control tower & a couple of hangars. I put one at the water's edge for a floatplane base. I can change the macro later. It's only rough but proves it works.

From a quick glance that should be OK. Of course, I can't tell which macro you're using. I think the quickest way to fix this would be for you to zip up your files & mail them to me. My address is under my avatar or in my profile. I will need the FSSC source file + the BGL files you created with FSSC & AFCAD.

I always export my own scenery files to a separate folder I create in the Addon Scenery folder. For this test the folder is named Hagar Island. Point the FSSC Export Wizard to this folder & it will do the rest. This way I can activate the new scenery via the Scenery Library as for any other 3rd party scenery. This makes it much easier to troubleshoot by deactivating areas in turn or deleting the area if it causes conflicts or other problems. Once the parent folder for a particular area is activated you can add more BGL files or update them without reactivating it.

OK. Silly me. I figured it out. Did you actually check that your new BGL is where it's supposed to be?

Look at the export path in your shot of the wizard. Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery. FSSC creates a scenery subfolder in the directory you point it to. I wouldn't mind betting your BGL is hidden inside a scenery subfolder within Addon Scenery\scenery. In this case it's not activated & won't show up. You can either move it up one level into the Addon Scenery\scenery folder or use my method & install & activate it separately.

Something else I noticed in one of the pics, you have the image complexity set to Dense, If you have your setting in FS9 the image might not so up.

That's great Ant. I would almost have bet money on it. These things are usually caused by something simple that you overlooked. I'm not so quick now as I used to be or I might have solved this before. Being a "belt & braces" man I always check manually to make sure files are where they're supposed to be or where I think they are. I should know better than to assume that others do the same. You might bear this in mind in future. Cheesy

It's a long time since I've messed around with scenery design & apart from the basics I've lost touch with it all now. I suggest you have a browse through the macro section here. There's plenty to choose from depending on what you want. Good luck. Smiley

PS. I still think it's a better idea to export your own scenery files to a separate folder & activate it as a new area from the Scenery Library. Had you done so I suspect you would not have had the problem in the first place. Tongue
