Ok I am a little confused can FSSC be used for FS2004.
It is my impression that you can not use this program for fs2004. The site does not say one way or the other. I see posts here of people saying to use FSSC for scenery for FS2004.
So which is it YES or NO  ???

Yes. FSSC works perfectly well for FS9. However, Derek Leung is busy with other commitments & hasn't yet updated it to be fully compatible. A few features like the AFD BGL no longer work in FS9. This can be overcome by using the Menu Entry object instead. The other entries can then be added with AFCAD.

RollerBall informs me that the latest Airport for Windows might be the better option. http://www.airportforwindows.com/

Well I can see why I was confussed. It looks like that it can be used but yet not fully compatable yet.
Thanks for the clear up.
I knew that airport for windows would work in fs2004 but it is for airports not general scenery. Or am I wrong with that statement. I am pretty sure you can make buildings around a air port but can you use this for general scenery. I did not think this would do that 8)

Both Airport & FSSC are basically very similar applications & work on a similar principle. Until recently FSSC was the better of the two. IMHO

I'm not sure what you mean. You can modify your own scenery with FSSC at any time you wish. It will not read BGL files of existing scenery or change anything you did with AFCAD. Depending on what you do it might then need updating with AFCAD.

No but you CAN add as many buildings & other scenery objects you wish to the existing airport with FSSC - just as you can update a default airport. Just make sure the BGL files have different file names to the ones you did in AFCAD. In hindsight it might have been better to have done all the visual work in FSSC first.

Give it a try. Import a few of the FSSC default buildings to check it out. It might take a little experimenting to get the location exactly right especially if you're not used to FSSC. Give your project a different name to the AFCAD airport & save it. FSSC will do the rest when you export it. Use the Export Wizard. If all else fails you can start again, this time in FSSC.

Make sure your new BGL file is installed & activated. You have 2 choices. Export (or paste) the BGL file to the existing directory or install & activate it as a separate scenery area.
