I may be missing something...but isn't it as simple as dragging the original texture folder from the aeroplane folder to somewhere else, (desktop?), and dragging the replacement texture folder into the aeroplane folder...?

(The new texture has to be compatable with the aeroplane type).

Cheers all...!

Paul.

I can do it for you if you post the contents of the paticular aircrfat .cfg file, but I will demopnstrate it here on the default Beechcraft Baron 58. Heres the first section from the aircraft.cfg file:
Quote:
[fltsim.0]
title=Beech Baron 58
sim=Beech_Baron_58
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=
kb_checklists=Beech_Baron_58_check
kb_reference=Beech_Baron_58_ref
atc_id=D014HG
ui_manufacturer=Beechcraft
ui_type=Baron 58
ui_variation=White with blue and gold
description=With the wonderful control harmony that is the hallmark of the Bonanza line, the Beech Baron 58 is considered a classic light twin. The Baron 58 is the spiffed-up version of a time-tested favorite, made more modern by its new Continental Special engines. The Baron combines the attractiveness of Beechcraft design with the reliability of twin engines, resulting in a gorgeous workhorse of an aircraft.

Copy all of that and paste it in below, so that you have this:
Quote:
[fltsim.0]

I have changed ui_variation= to suitable name of the new tex's, and the vital part is that you change [fltsim.0] to 1, or whatever is next. Then on your new texture folder, name it somthing like texture.1. In the texture= area, type texture=1.
I think thats, it, tell me if it's not!!!!!!

* Edit: Just tried it, and this needs to be changed to reflect the name of your new paint.

Create a new folder in the folder containing your aircraft called texture.X replace the X with the next number that hasn't been used for a texture folder. (ie. current folders=texture, create texture.1, and so on)
Copy your new textures into here, then open Aircraft.CFG. Copy from [fltsim.0] down to the first line break, and paste it below the last [Fltsim] section. Now make the following changes:
Change the number after fltsim to the next available number.
Change the number after texture= to the number you used on the texture folder.
Add some extra writing onto the Title= line.
Change text after UI_Variation=, and ATC_callsign=, to that of your airline.
Run FS.  Grin

Right Gogi. If i am right, you had a plane, and you aquired more texture files for it? The best thing for you to do is browse into your FS2002/Aircraft/[Yourplanesname] folder, and open its 'aircraft.cfg' file in notepad. Then post that here. I can help you through it then. You can Private message me if you prefer it. Dan Garner.
