well guys, for me it's over. yesterday i went to the world's biggest military airshow...i waited a year for that and now, the waiting for RIAT 2005 has already started.
the weather was very good: clear skies most of the time. the flying display was amazing (better than last year). the static was also good, but not as good as in 2003 (for me).
like i said, i went with a charter from KLM. our flight was delayed so we arrived at 9:30am...and we had to leave the show very early so i missed some important displays.
i've made 1500 photos. i'll try to post some of them in the photos forum, but it will take some work to order them all...1500 is alot indeed!

Well, once again I was unable to go to RIAT this year.
But having said that, the highlight of the Airshow year for me is always last week's Flying Legends show. I much prefare vintage Warbirds to modern fast jets, but I always enjoy the big military shows and RAF Waddington is always high on my list of airshows every year. When RIAT was at RAF Cotesmore it was only about an hours drive from my house and being besides the A1 access was first class. I've spent many long hours sitting in RIAT traffic trying to get out of Fairford
Next year I really must make a retun visit to RIAT as it has now been three years and that is far too long.
Can't wait to see all those photos pal

Hawker, if you like warbirds, you had to visit Fairford man! during the 60 years of D-Day anniversary, i've seen 6 Thunderbolts, three Spitfires, a C-47 and one Lancaster flying and dropping/firing fake ammo! also a few Thunderbolts and a Hellcat were airborne during the show. i'll also post some shots of them...i have some really good ones of the static.
