Hey guys,

Thought I would post these two together.

The MD-11 is from IFDG and the typical F-16 Viper from Kirk. Both great works of art.

Some day I would like to learn how to master GMAX and give FS modeling a go. Perhaps painting might be a good first step.

Thanks a bunch for all of the compliments for my previous postings.

Good day,

Gus  8)

Just want to point out that the MD-11 was made by Albaro in FSDS2.4, not Gmax. Dunno why everybody assumes it's a gmax bird. We also did the A32X series in FSDS.

Nice shots BTW!  Grin

Wow, 8 replies already. Thanks a bunch for the compliments.

I just mentioned GMAX because I have that program sitting in my HD. I might consider purchasing FSDS to learn how to design and "build" aircraft for FS.

On the F-16 I just did an auto level adjustment to correct the contrast and colors to my liking. I have an HP mx703 monitor which has too much contrast so it's hard to gauge what the images will look like on other monitors. I reduced the picture, sharpened, and then faded the sharpening to provide a cleaner effect. Too much sharpening is not very good.

One technique I use is to adjust the view options for the spot view. A lower zoom number will give you a wide angle lens effect just as with camera lenses. Objects in the background will appear further away. The reverse is also true. You probably know that.

Again with the F-16 that's the default FS2002 scenery for Nepal. Go to Tribhuvan International (VNKT) and depart from rwy 2. Climb on a heading of 021 and you'll see the mountains directly in front of you. You won't see a NG F-16 in that region but it's a great place to practice some low-level and high altitude sim flights.

Thanks again!

Cheers,

Gus
