ive dowlaoded the tire mark generator and inserted it into the b-777 and nothing is happening, no sound , nothing. anyone got any suggestions?? ???

I have never heard of this software, nor see th eneed of it. FS2002 gives me tyre marks fine. Perhaps you need to max out your third party dynamic scenery slider.

Have not heard of any tire gen s/w.

I just tested the 777, tire marks appeared upon landing, not much, but they were there.  Try landing again, see what happens. Tire marks usually appear when I land other aircraft, but not always.

In the .cfg file there's a line under [Effects]:
touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1. 

Be sure it reads just like that, NOT like this:  touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1.

ahh thats what was wrong, mines read this:
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1.  Embarrassed

Usually when you land, the plane makes tire marks or you.
