intimidating or what:) merlin in the back, dunno about the colour though Grin

somebody actually pushed me as i was taking this just to get their own photo, had this been something a little more important i would have hit them hard.

Great shots, all the pics are great quality, except the two with just the engine, hmmm... Is that cougar in the first pic a one seater or two? Looks REALLY small.

its only a one seater. or two tiny people i suppose LOL
one good thing about the museum, for those who dont know or for kids amusement, they have sound bytes from each helicopter so you get an idea of what they sound like in flight

That is an odd gyrocopter in the first shot, I've never seen that type before. Do you have any more info?

Nice selection of shots Craig. They certainly packed a lot in a small space. I never cared much for helos so I think I'll give it a miss. They remind me of insects. Just the sight of those evil-looking attack helos scares the sh*t outta me. Shocked

This comes with the territory & was most likely accidental. Not too many yobbos visit museums. You should learn to be less aggressive. Remember that the other visitors paid the same as you to get in & you possibly got in their way too. A few well chosen expletives is acceptable in extreme circumstances. Wink

With a static subject like this the opportunity was not lost. One thing about a digital camera is that if something like this happens you can take another one.

I will do some research Mark, there was an info card but i didnt read it, more interested in getting a look in the hind cockpit:)

Doug. Its because of the reasons you stated i didnt have a go at them, the person actually came in the hanger and just pushed me to the side to get the photo, being there first i felt i had the right to get my photo, i also paid my way into the place:)
Agreed the size is very small for what they have, problem is, they are privatley funded so they cant really expand, they have gotten a couple of new choppers since last time, and so it gets even more packed, and very difficult to get a good shot of the larger aircraft. Then again the people restoring them are all voulenteers and without them some nice helicopters would be rotting away in a field somewhere..

I am not sure what they are, i believe they were actually designed along side the lynx and lost out in the long run when the merlin came in to play. Someone may know. I call them the guardians of merlin. Just look at the evil "i dare you" Look they have Grin

P.S. Craig...every time I see a Gyrocopter I think of a certain RCAF Minister who built one from spare parts!!!
He would have it towed down the snow covered grass field by an old Fargo half ton truck in the winter...in the summer they would tow him behind a boat up the Trent River till he got airborne. I am sure he had GOD as his co-pilot
