Got a phone call at work, meant I had to leave, boss was mad but somethings are more important! Smiley
Such as a Corsair!!!! Marines Dream is leaving my home town and won't be back until Sept. So I had too see her off. This is the first time I have ever heard one in person, a sound that is still giving me goosebumps!

...

At first cranking smoke billowed, the pilot said he didn't like the color and before he left decided a oil change was called for, so off to the hanger:

...

After 20 minutes they pushed her back out and fired her up, graceful the way she unfold her wings!

...

After run up and away she goes "into the wild blue yonder"

...

...
A little showing off!

But she wasn't alone!! Checking her six she is being tailed by a P-47!! Impromtu dogfight and airshow!!!!!
...
Awesome display of Warbird Power!!!!!
Both the Corsair and T-47 are off to Charlston for a one day airshow!
But I'm now no longer a Corsair virgin Smiley AWESOME Aircraft!!!

ps: I have some more of the two dogfighting, I want to crop and edit them some so they are easier to see. I guess it is time to by a camera with a telephoto lense Smiley

Nice one Fret. Wink

The quality of shot #5 is excellent. From my own experience I don't think you would do much better with a zoom lens unless you're prepared to spend a lot of money.

PS. Correction. Sorry, I meant shot #5.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Question?
I'm using PSP 8, and when I crop a photo (using it at original size) and then resize it to fit here in the forums it becomes all "fuzzy" or is the term "pixelized?" looks real bad!
I would think if anything since you are removing a part of the original the size (in Kb) would decrease, would this be correct?
If so why when I resize to 800x600 does it come out looking awefull?
I have a feeling the answer is obvious but just haven't got it yet! Smiley

Fret great photos, we have a corsair at yeovil airshow every year and its an amazing plane.
As for the resize. I try to resize the picture first, then do any cropping.

Fret. It might be the option you use to resize/resample the image. You might like to experiment with the settings. I use the Smart size option in PSP7. This works well enough for me.

I took the liberty of cropping/resizing shot #5 using this option. Also adjusted the Gamma Correction to brighten it up a little. Not sure how this looks to you but it's fine on my monitor. I'm sure it would look even better from the original image.

That looks great Hagar!
But I have yet to find a "smart size" option in PSP 8 ???
Allot to learn with this editing program! But from what I hear PSP 7&8 are basically the same so I'll look around for it!
Thanks for the tip! Wink
