Hey Smiley

I've just setup a Home Network between 2 PCs and my Xbox, they both share the connection fine. The host PC is XP and the other PC is ME.

The problem is file sharing, I've disabled my Firewall and the Windows firewall but when I click 'View Workgroup Computers' I get a message saying "Home is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup is currently nto available."

I am the administrator of the host PC though.

Also when I frst set it up I had an icon in the system tray of the other PC saying it was connected, I don't have that now, however, the internet still works.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Oh, and by the way, I'm using a hub with Cat 5e patch cables.

Edit: Aha, Fixed it, I just had to configure Home Networking on my Norton Firewall. Cheesy

Very true my home network was only a headache until I got rid of ME and installed XP on both machines.

I am considering uninstalling ME, I'll probably do it next time it crashes or gets a virus.

I think I'll upgrade the Ram on the PC before I install XP though, you can see the specs in my sig. Embarrassed
