hey everyone- I'm haviong a problem with my joystick.  It's a Logitech Wingman Attack 2, USB, non-f/f stick.  Whenever I try to bank right, the plane will bank, but very slowly, however, when I go left, it will bank at the normal rate.  Also, when taking off, once I get enough speed, when i pull back the elevators don't move up enough to get lift.  I have to end up re-plugging in the joystick everytime to get it to input control surface commands... Anyone have this happen before?

Also, I have been looking into the Saitek Cyborg 3D Force stick. Is this a good one to get?

thanks in advance, bm

Don't laugh.  lol  Most of the suggestions from folks here are made because of things they've done themselves.

Keep that in mind while you read some of the more off the wall suggestions.  You'll never look at 'em the same way.

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

It sounds like a potentiometer problem, or at least potentially.  Have a look in the test settings or calibration and see if it can be fixed.

For new joysticks I can reccomend Saitek products, my wife (the Real Sarah) bought me the X-45 HOTAS for Christmas and I haven't looked back.  It is an amazing stick.  If their other products are of the same quality you will be onto a winner.

Hi, RS components do / did a spray can of cleaner for electrical connections. My can ran out 6 months ago and haven't tried to get any more, but I would think a good computer shop will have something as good. Sorry I can't be more help with the name, good luck, regards Chris

You could always use compressed air from a compressor. Just don't set the PSI too high.

Hi Chris...!
Failing a dedicated contact cleaner, try WD-40 from a hardware/car accessory, etc, shop.
(It's also good for cleaning dodgy potentiometer tracks, ignition switches, door locks, removing grease, discouraging next-door neighbours cat, etc, etc. In fact it does exactly what it says on the tin... (Famous advert!)...)... Wink...LOL...!

Cheers all...!

Paul.

P.S. I use it to clean the wheels on my motor bike... 8)...!
...(after I've run over next-door neighbours cat).. 8)...!
LOL...LOL...LOL...!
