Interesting photos Craig. Wink

I like the sunset. Shame about the Lanc. Almost criminal I'd call it. Looks like an Anson in the background in much the same condition if not worse. Angry

thank you hagar, the Lanc in the pic there was in pretty good condition, apart form the broken windows, and a few dents it looks to be in one piece(i have a second photo from the side, will post tomorow)

OK. Thanks. From that angle it looks like the tail is raised off the ground & the nose is resting on the barbed wire. Shocked

I would be interested to know when & where these shots were taken. Also what happened to the aircraft since. The Lanc is possibly the one restored by the Canadian Warplane Heritage. http://www.spitcrazy.com/mynarski_memorial_lancaster.htm
This is one of only 2 airworthy examples in the world.

Just spoken to my dad, the lancaster was from the nanton lancaster society or something like that and was taken in 1987

OK. Thanks Craig. It's possibly the same aircraft. I shall have to check into its history. I wouldn't think there were too many Lancs around even in 1987.

Nice pics.
Yeah it is a shame to see such a worthy plane looking neglected. If its restored though then thats great.
