Since Mark was asking, I decided to put up a few of what Wendy and I did after getting the grass cut behind the house.....cameras in hand, we were off to the airpark to capture the nice day.......
The day looked fine to the south and the Glacier, but you can see the rain approaching from the mountains of the north.........
Still, the colours of the season are starting to show nicely........
Wendy has spotted something of interest to shoot.....Hmmmmm
Was it really the bird or the boaters, which captured Wendys attention .......?
Well things are getting interesting now..........
A strike !........how could he see anything from that low perch ?
Looks like it was a miss........not gonna fill a belly that way, Mr Eagle........
And now on a different perch, its back to the waiting game ..........

Great Shots Ken
Did he actually miss the fish or was it to big to pick-up?
The red marker with the white stripe...can you tell me what that is?
The water tower...was that for the town or maybe the railroad at one time?
Thanks for posting those shots...very interesting.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Awesome shots!! Not easy catching a eagle in flight like that!! Great job!
Flying Trucker, not many fish are too big for a eagles grasp!
They can easily grab hold of a medium sized dog!!
There are breeds in the Anazon that actually hunt monkeys, saw a interesting program on PBS not long ago. Also showed some taking down Antelope!!! Quite awesome birds!

Nice pics Rifleman and Wendy! I like the 6th pic the best! The scenery there doesn't look much different than here. I'm from Washington close to Vancouver Island and I see them (eagles) all the time. Magnificant birds
