My mom owned a Mac for years but recently bought a PC. She only uses the Mac for personal finance work so she doesn't have to buy the PC version of Quicken. That machine is always freezing and it's slow as heck. Here's the lowdown on Mac. The new system I'm buying: Athlon64 2.0ghz for $500CND. Same system for Mac: G5 64-bit 2.0ghz: $3000USD.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. Wink

P.S. Streaming media and links don't work for some reason with my pc Cry

(yes I have WMP9) So I right clicked and clicked save target as.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

I truely hate macs... Having been pretty much raised on PCs i never used a mac till last year when i switched schools and all of the computers are macs... I dont use them much... But at my vocational class we have half and half with computers. 10 PCs and 10 macs... With a grant we got awhile back there are more computers to be ordered for our class. Our teacher insists on 3 new macs... he left the price estimate paper out on a desk and it was like $3500 for 3 for that price he could go to the local Walmart and get 6 new HP PCs for that Shocked

The other day I had one of my Zip disks get corrupted on a mac because I draged the icon to the Eject button Angry

d^mn thing made me loose most of my work because i did something normal Angry

Macs do suck, big time! Last time I used a mac (A G5) it was terrible slow and very stupid. It tried to do things that I did not want it to do and crashed multiple times (I've never crashed my Windows XP machine in the two years I've had it 8) ). If macs were better they would be industry standard, it is as simple as that. Mac users that "pity the poor souls that are stuck with PCs" are in denial that their computers suck in my opinion Tongue

Lol!!

My mom has a Mac, too. She got it because she didn't know anything about computers, but her friends had Macs. Now nobody knows anything about her computer. Any time she has a question, we have no idea how to help her.
