Im sure there is another thread somewhere in Music like this, but this is more recent. Who is your favorite musician/band?

Mine would have to be U2. After 20+ years, they are still as strong as day 1.

You bet ya! They sing a lot of general stuff as well.  For example a song called Mood Rings about girls moods.  It is hilarious, and they also sing passionaetly about the love of Jesus Christ and how he can and is saving ppl around the world.

Mood Rings

We all know the girls
That I am talking about
Well They are Time Bombs and They are ticking,
And the only questions when theyll blow up,
And theyll blow up we know that without a doubt
cuz theyre those girls yea you know those girls
that let their emotions get the best of them.

and ive contrived some sort of a plan to help my fellow man
lets get emotional girls to all wear mood rings
so well be tipped off to when their ticked of
cuz we will know just what theyre thinking
what they thinking

and it continues for a few more verses and it is so funny.

That first album was great wasn't it? I even found a copy all those years ago of their banned song "Animal F.L.A.B." just sitting on the shelf in a store. I just had to get it.

Maiden, Priest, Rush, AC/DC, Megadeth, Metallica (everything except St. Anger Lips Sealed). All that stuff...

And now I add such bands as Dark Tranquillity and Lacuna Coil to my list of favorites. LC's female vocalist, Christina Scabbia is a real babe with an incredible voice!  Grin

A BonJovi concert means Babefest!!!! Although I'm not a huge fan they have some good stuff, scene them a few times and they do put on a good show.
A band that I never heard of until yesterday when I picked up thier "Live Invasion" disk is Freedom Call, pretty good if your into the what i guess is called "power metal".
I belive they are from your neck of the woods aren't they?

Never heard of them. I'm not thzat much into my country's music scene. They have some nice stuff, but most of it is just Pop/Alternative with german lyrics. And I don't like german lyrics that much, since it just sounds like sh+t if they're simple and without depth.

Can't stress how much I like soundgarden right now, they are my favourites.
