I have been playing with my Saitek settings on CFS3 and have hit upon what I feel is the best set up for me.

I have outlined it below and if anyone wants the .dat file they can PM me their E-Mail address.

Mode 1 > Combat Mode

Trigger = Fire all Guns
Fire A = Next Target
Fire B = Previous Target
Fire C = Bail Out
Launch = Fire Rocket/Drop Bomb
Fire D = Select Ordnance
Mouse Fire = Bomb Bay Toggle
POV 1 = Views
POV 2 Up = Rich mixture
POV 2 Down = Lean Mixture
POV 3 Up = Increase Prop RPM
POV 3 Down = Decrease Prop RPM

Mode 2 > Take off and Land

Trigger = Brakes
Fire A = Flaps down inc.
Fire B = Flaps up inc.
Fire C = Bail Out
Launch = Start Engines
Pinkie =  Landing Gear
POV 1 = Views
POV 2 Up = Rich mixture
POV 2 Down = Lean Mixture
POV 3 Up = Increase Prop RPM
POV 3 Down = Decrease Prop RPM

Mode 3 > Flight

Trigger = Elevator Trim Up
Pinkie = Elevator Trim Down
Fire A = Rudder Trim Left
Fire B = Rudder Trim Right
Launch = Centre Ailerons/Rudders
POV 1 Left = Aileron Trim Left
POV 1 Right = Aileron Trim Right
POV 2 Up = Enrich Mixture
POV 2 Down = Lean Mixture
POV 3 Up = Increase Prop RPM
POV 3 Down = Decrease Prop RPM

I find that this allows me to fly or fight without the use of the keyboard where possible and without the risk of accidentally lowering gear or flaps by hitting the wrong button at the wrong time.

Any comments/suggestions etc welcome.

Will
