Help, my pilots keep getting early retirements when they do not accomplish their objectives. One failure and they are out. what goes on here. are there some hotshot airforce colonels out there who can remedy that situation for my long suffering pilot soul.

thanks

Is it possible that you are loosing too many wingmen? If so, look after them. Contrary to popular belief, they have their uses.

Yes, they draw flak away from you... Lips Sealed

I personally get very annoyed when my wingmen get killed, it always seem to be the ones with the most kills who are singled out.  I end up with me having 300+ kills and 8 rookies.  Very annoying and unrealistic.

I find that if you have kept your wingmen alive long enough for them all to get more than 5 kills, edit them if you must, then they start being useful. Especially when you have a Zero on your arse. They seem to be pros at clearing your 6. Cheesy

Go to the main CFS2 root file and open a folder called PILOTLOG.

Find the file with the name of your pilot and open it in word pad. The look for a bit that looks like this...

[campaign.0]
campaign_name=Swordfish
next_mission=Swordfish390917Courageous
next_node=1
missions_completed=0
lowscore=0
wingmen_lost=0
player_aircraft_lost=0
current_score=0

Where is say's wingmen_lost, replace the number there for a much lower number. 0 seems a good one to choose. The save it and start flying missions again. In this file you can also award youself medals and promote youself. And fiddle with wingmen skill etc. Wink
