Hey guys! (and gals  Wink) I have been wanted to post this for a while but I wasn't sure if anyone would reply  Roll Eyes Anyway, I think it would be interesting if people would tell us their current location in FS (Airport, City, whatever). So it's kinda like a poll in a way. Currently I am at Orofino Municipal in Orofino, Idaho. Next flight will be back home  Grin

I just finished flying from Heathrow to Manchester in the default 737. The weather at EGCC was great, with no clouds below 20,000ft. Next flight will probably be from Manchester to my local airport of Aldergrove, EGAA.

KFLL - Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  20 miles south of my real life home.

The primary runways are 94 and 274, only 4 deg from East/West.  The VOR range is over 100 miles and the DME for the ILS is over 20 miles.

After I land I hop over to the beach for a Pina Colada and check out the babes.

The first round is on me.  If you're sober after happy hour we can hop down to KEYW (Key West) - about 1/2 hour SW.  I warn you, the beer is cheap but there's there's no ILS.

They're on they way.  Look for American Airlines Arena (you can't miss the AA on the roof) - that's Bayside, and S. Beach is only 10 mi S.  Then it's beaches and alligators.   Nothing south of Miami until the Keys.

With the flightsim, I always fly from where I left off. If I want to explore an area, I fly to it, even if it's on the other side of the world.

I've mostly been flying in Alaska for the last year, rarely leaving the region. Today, I flew down from Coldfoot to Fairbanks

while most of you are in south florida I like KDAB esp. at spring break. KDAB is Daytona Beach You can even land a 747 there That is just a short hop from my Base were I worked at for 4 years KJAX Jacksonville International runways 7 and 25 are 10,000 feet long even the concorde landed there once and it is not unusual to spot a antov 222 there from time to time.

I'm trying to fly an Air Canada 747-400 from Lima, Peru (SPIM) to Honolulu, Hawaii. (PHNL). I'm having some throttle problems, so my mechanics (presumably Simviation folks) are looking at my engines and stuff. I've just been jetting along, and a friend of mine is acting as my virtual flight attendant! It's sure fun!

Yeah I do the same thing. Also I make up a flight plan and write out the places where I want to go for the next two months or so and just go from there, taking off from where I left off. I finished my last flight plan a couple of days ago so now I'm really just freely flying around. I plan to take a cross country trip in the Mooney Bravo then after that if I manage to get some screenshots on here, would take a trip to Eastern/Southern Africa and go on an adventure  Grin

I'm in Khartoum, Sudan of all places.  At first I thought it would be fun to fly from the States to Europe but once I got there I decided what the heck and kept going.  So far I've flown Seattle to Denver to Chicago to JFK to Gander, Newfoundland to Keflavik, Iceland to Dublin to London to Paris to Frankfurt to Munich to Athens to Cairo to Khartoum.

The next leg will be to Nairobi then back up through Yemen and Oman and into India and southeast asia.

I should probably be posting screen shots but it would be fun to do it again going the other way.  Maybe then I'll post.

Halfway through a world tour, at the moment I'm parked in NZNR Napier, New Zealand.

I'm not limiting myself in using one category of aircraft over another.  I prefer to use the plane I feel is most appropriate for the current leg (small Cessnas or the likes for sight-seeing VFR, Boeing, Airbus and so on for long boring oversea IFR travels).

From here I think I'll travel New Zealand in small steps going south and then I'll jump back in south Australia, leisurely heading back toward Japan. Smiley

Last flight completed was from San Diego to Portland, in Alaska MD-80.  You will mostly find me in the Pacific Northwest area of the US. Grin  This is the area I did most of my flying.

Funny, I can choose to fly anywhere in the world and I seem to stick close to my real home for the most part.  It is either there  or Hawaii, which I have visited many times in my real life....as apposed to my sim life.

Well for my VA I fly a learjet, currently Im in Toulouse, I too continue from where I left off and am waiting to pick up a charter, I fly out of Hawarden in England (EGNR) where my VA's home is.

Also I am flying a Baron 58 on a VFR tour of Norway and the Baltic States, currently Im in Helle (ENSH) and not much further North to go, the scenery round here is fantastic, I use Active Sky for the weather and sometimes VFR flying can be a little unpredictable round here at this time of year.

Benbecula in the outer hebridies. A charming little airport. And if I want to go anywhere, I get in a fast plane and point it roughly in the right direction and open the throttle! Grin Then, once i've crashed, I start over at Benbecula. Grin Though, sometimes I land successfully. Which is novel. At which point, I start out at Benbecula again. 8)

In FS fast planes are my thing. My current favorite is a Fairey Delta2. Suberb aircraft.

Just landed in Atlanta (KATL) from Knoxville, TN (KTYS).  On my way down to Florida to hit the beach, then maybe on to the Bahamas or something.  Started this trip in Middlesboro, Ky (1A6) which is about 20 miles from my house.  I'm using the stock Beechcraft Baron 58, and making small hops (~1 hour each) so I can spread this vacation over a few days.

My PC is set for real world weather always, and real time, so I landed at dusk last night, and marvelled at the scenery in this Alice in Wonderland place they call Emma Field. PC has been on all night and the Pilatus is sitting idle being serviced before I take off tonight

Im in my Beechcraft Twin Bonanza.

I like to have a structure to my flying. Not so long ago I was in my Caravan making charter cargo runs from Stuttgart, Germany.

Yeah I too strangley prefer to fly around Europe, hardly using FS to the full.

Wow, its' been a while seen I have been to the site. After finally purchasing FS2004, I am starting my RTW flight using stock Beech Baron. I may post some screenies. I started in Langley British Columbia and arrived in Medford Oregon last night. I am making short hops, so it will surely take me a loooong time. Grin

I've been to Medford, it really nice there. We were driving down I-5 and out of nowhere this 747 appears on the runway and takes off. We thought it unusual for such a large plane taking off on a small airport but the President was in town that day  Shocked Grin

KATL for me, My Wife is an AirTran Flight Attendant and I fly legs with her in an AirTran 717 when I have the time and interest, watching her progress on the Web.

With the real weather download, I like to see if the winds aloft have me matching their airspeed and it's pretty close.

Since I fly free, We "Non-Rev's" are seated together and I'm sometimes seated with pilots and usually bring up FS2004 and I've learned something new each time. I've had a couple of them say that they wondered if an AirTran 717 was availible.

thats a nice JSF, where's it from?

I decided to get away from those navy types, not too sure on what they meant by asking me to join the torpedo tube party. ahem.

I'm also escaping you prop types. you boring people you. I want to kick the tires and light the fires! I lit the blue touch paper in a frightning and screamed over to EGXB Binbrook. My new home. aww.

And mark.. one day with your flying antics you end up like your deadly marmeladldleade stuff. hehe.

Hi

I live in England, but can normally be found buzzing around New York, as its easy to get airport diagrams etc making flying a lot easier.

Currently I'm 31,000 feet up heading for KLAX (Los Angeles) and crossing the Grand Canyon.

See you in the pilots lounge.  Grin

KLGB - Practicing air taxi, take-offs, landings in a HH-60 Firehawk from/to Pad 4 adjacent to the approach end of 07.

Home is 1.5 mile SE of KSAN.  No big flights planned on FS as of now.  I am mostly local VFR.  Real life takes me between KSAN and KLAS twice a week in my turbo Banaza.

I homebase out of Las Vegas (KLAS) and fly short trips into Phoenix Sky Harbor (KPHX) Reno/Tahoe (KRNO), LAX, and Frisco (KSFO). My aircraft of choice is usually the Alaskan MD-83, or the default Learjet. My flight attendant is my pug, Ramsey, but I'm thinking of replacing him. He sleeps too much and eats all the food before he gets the foodcart rolled out!  Smiley

I am still short hopping between Emma Field and Orcas Island, but have a couple of local Washington high rollers that have paid for a trip to Las Vegas. I will probably take my Citation II as the Citation X is going through maintenance.

Since this isn't a short hop, no slow GA aircraft for these fellas. They have money to burn.
