Very nice. Great shots.
Wish I could get that close to aircraft landing. Many places in Britain have fences round that u can't c thru. Or the runway is so far away u can't get near it.

Try some of the smaller airfields Ben. If you're ever down my neck of the woods we can meet for breakfast at Shoreham Airport. No barriers there, not yet anyway. You must have seen some of my recent photos. If the wind's in the right direction I could show you a spot where the landing aircraft approach right overhead.
PS. I'm off to Abingdon in a couple of weeks.

Oh right. Showing up my ignorance!
Nice yr going to Abingdon. Just 10 miles awy from where I used to live.
I know the place inside out, just about.
Enjoy yr trip, wish I was there. I am up here though.
And worse still I have exams!

Ben

That wasn't my intention. I know exactly what you mean. I nipped up to Gatwick last week to see if I could get some shots for the airliner fanatics. It's now surrounded by 10 foot high barriers & security guards all over the place. Not like the old days when I used to work there. Unfortunately I had no camera then.

Pity. Never mind. I'm sure you'll have plenty more opportunities. Concentrate on those exams for now.
I'm sure I'll enjoy it providing the weather is kind.

is the viewing deck at gatwick still closed??
I know BAA are bringing in a new security card for spotters they realised that they are extra pairs of eyes and can help out, simple security check and you get your card, minimal hassle. In return spotters agree to phone in any suspicious activitys and also help clear any rubbish around(bins will be placed around the fences)
