Good Morning Dudes & Dudettes..... Sumthin' very bazzare has occured with my games controller after having gone download/install bananas from the Simviation web site and I wondered was there others out there who have encountered the same problem...
The beauty about this glitch is that a mate of mine with the exact same Logitech Joystick has exactly the same characteristic fault after his installations also...
The Joystick was behaving as it should before any installations where made but now during straight and level flight all aircraft, including the default aircraft, will bank right for no apparent reason....

Please tell me someone out there has encountered the same problem or is this a product fault coinsidence between my mates joysick and my own...

Note: They are not Force Feedback Joysticks....

Hi Si_Combat. I can't see how installing any aircraft to FS2004 could possibly affect your joystick in any way. The first thing I would suggest is to recalibrate the joystick. Not all aircraft will be set up the same & some might possibly pull to the left (or bank right) more than others. This is quite normal & due to the simulated prop torque, gyro & P-factor effects. The Realism settings in the sim will affect the performance of the aircraft. Try reducing the Realism until you get used to it.

Morning Dude...  I only just replied to your Graphics Card reply... Sorry about that....
Ammmmmm..... I tried the lot dude... Uninstall/Reinstall, different USB ports on the PC, recalibration etc, etc.... It seems to work for about the first 5>10mins after restarting FS9 but the problem keeps coming back, same with my mate's also..... A good way, or rather, better way to describe what happens is this..: Say I was to switch to a Virtual Cockpit View with a moveable stick or Yoke on screen, I would have full yoke movement left but only a fraction right.... ???  it has me baffeled Mate... The right side of my head has no hair from the scratching I've been doing..

It could possibly be a bug with this particular make of joystick. Make sure you have the latest DirectX 9.0b from the Windows Update site. Also the latest DX compatible drivers for the stick from the Logitech site.

Si_Combat,  What sim are you using, and is the stick a Logitech Extreme 3D?

I have had two of those sticks in the past three months that developed the same problem. The first one work just fine with FS2k2, but shortly after I got FS9, I started having the same problems you and you mate are having. Forget about flying any of the jet fighters. I tried unistall and reinstall, d/l new drivers, ran calibrate countles times finally gave and since it was under warrenty I took it back and got another. It lasted just abt a month. I now have a Saitek X45 and all is stright and level.

PS My mate is still using the Logitech that he got four months ago with FS2k2 and no problems.

hey,
i've had the same problem. i had a logitech attack 2 joystick and it worked fine for a few months. then it started banking left or right. forget about shooting ILS approaches!  Angry after numerous calibrations and still no solution, i had to change the "null-zone" settings for the joystick in FS9. that sucked and made my turns a bit erradic. after getting pissed off, i broke down and bought a new saitek evo joystick. i've had it for about a month and it randomly does the banking/rudder stuff too, however not very often (maybe 1 in 10 flights).

i heard that if you delete the FS9.CFG file, FS9 will make a new FS9.CFG file and your problem will be solved. i haven't tried it yet for fear of it ruining my FS9 and then being forced to reinstall everything.

if you decide to try it, be sure to make a backup of it.... and don't blame me if your computer explodes and all you're left with is your joystick in your hand (hehehe..... get it?!).

Try this as an alternative to deleting, cut the FS9.CFG and paste it in another directory, and try starting FS2004. If it does create a new FS9.CFG file, then Joy to the WOrld!, If not then just simply move the old FS9.CFG  back into its directory.
