Curiouser and curiouser!

I have found in the past that the fs9.cfg file (running XP) somehow suddenly ends up with some of the TERRAIN variables getting changed seemingly all by themselves.

A while back I was doing some "look-seeing" and found that the TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS value had somehow gotten changed to some astronomical number up in the 1,200,000 range.  I set it back to the 900 that I have been running it at.

The rest of the numbers in that TERRAIN section were either default or slightly "tweaked".  And they were all fine and as they should be.

SO........ I was checking something today.... and found that both the TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS and the TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS values had somehow been set to ZERO      ??? .

But at least the TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS was still correct.  

So...... any thoughts what can do this to the config file?  And why the heck would it get changed to a zero value?  The default is 2.5 for DEFAULT and 4.0 for EXTENDED.  (I am normally running them at 9 and 4.5 at the moment.)
