Can anyone tell me if there is software out there that will change the standard American  accent to an English one?

Before all you Yanks start getting on your high horses with claims of racism, I love you guys!! but, I think that it would make my flights over Wales more authentic as I am not aware of any American ATC guys at Cardiff!!

Also, on the subject of ATC, why can't Microsoft allow the ATC programme to operate in multiplayer?

I'm right there with you on this one  .  This is a "feature" that I have wanted since fs2002.  Contrary to M$'s opinion,  the whole world is NOT "America".

Flying in places like Japan and hearing "plain vanilla" American accents is totally disconcerting.

I understand thje likely problem thouh.......

Every stocke response that makes up the ATC langnguage lexicon would have to be totally repeated for EACH version of "accented" English.  So let's say that you only wanted UK English, US English, Japanese accented English, Spanish accented English, French accented English, and Russina accented English.......
the language data file would be 5 times the size it already is.  Plus the work to create it (see the M$ main FS website for documentation of what it took) would be 5X too.

But yeah...... I want that to be in the next release.

PS:  Maybe Microsoft could release (sell) add on "Voicepacks" that cover the ATC voices region by region as an add on onto the base "stock American" voices?  They'd then just have to code in the facility to recognize the regions into the main sim.  Then add-on developers could possible do it too.
