what's going on with the afcad9, it seems like it doesn't make any changes it only create parking spots, but about,"insert ILS or changes in start locations it doesn't do nothing at all. There are some international  airports in Venezuela and many of them have ils aproach, vor and some other stuff, of course Microsoft ignore that, and even some ADF that all the airport should have, well at least they appear on GPS ,I think I'Ve done everything correct Frecuency,re open the program fs9,i folow all the instruction in read me of the afcad 2004,my fs2004 is in english version, can you give me some ideas what could i being doing wrong.
other question and this one may seem more silly i built my partial virtual cockpit including buttoms every where  pedals, yoke, trims, light with leds,Throttle panel, flaps, airbrake etc,in fact i don't have to use my keyboard, exept for atc comunication  . with the most realistic i could done. its a shame to ask this but, but in a realy737,777 md80,dc10,if you are moving the aircraft where is the real brake?,not the parking brake one, the one which stop or slow the aircraft?is near the rudder pedals?,where do i set the next swith?.
the last question it's about, something that i heard in discovery ch. the b777 automaticly
lands practicly by it self, i supposed it work with the ils control, the only plane in the simulator 9  is the b737, why the others doesn't follow the landing trayectory automaticly too??..

I use to work at KJAX and worked for Delta Air Lines. Yes it is true the B777 will autoland by it self once set you can just sit back and relax it will perform everything. But this is true for most of the aircraft out there. About the only thing it will not do is taxi the aircraft to the gate and park it. But if you are at the new airport that Japan just built it will do that as well from what I hear.
The brakes on every aircraft out there are the top part of the rudder peddals.  Each peddal controls one side of the plane. Left pedal controls the left whells and the right pedall controlls the right whells and have to be pressed with equall pressure other wise you will try to turn left or right. Some air craft use the brakes to turn while taxing but most of the the bigger planes have a steerable nose wheel that turns with either a small wheel or a lever called a tiller these are only at the pilots seat not the copilots seat.  The planes with steearable nose wheels have a pin in them that must be removed before a plane can be pushed back this allows the plane to turn with out damageing the steering. And must be put back in after the tow bar has been removed or the pilot will not be able to stear the plane on the ground.
As far as the afcad problem goes you must be doing something wrong I have changed several airports with no problem. Do you save the changes you make and restart
FS9.

Hey alrot,

Not sure about the auto-landing or brakes, but I do have an idea of what is happening in AFCAD-

Its not a big deal- just open up AFCAD and go to the airport youre editing.  Go to the main menu and click on "view" then click on "show NAVAIDS", "show Start Locatiosn", and if you want, "show hold-short limits"

Hope this helps Wink Smiley
