Hi
I want to know which is the best way to build in gmax the wingpod (the part of the fuselaje where wings attach to it and bays for l and r gear are ) of a jet airliner:
a) a line -> extrude -> 4-5 segments, then scale uniform each segment ?
b) a box ?
c) a cilinder ?
Please help me and give some detail
Thank you.

ooh, that a tough one... it's probably the hardest part of the external model
what i did for my 737 was to use a cylinder that i shaped as the the wingpod, and then welded it to the fuselage, of course it required a lot of vertex pushing untill i got the shape of it just right
here's how it looks:
you can see where i welded the cylinder to the fuselage
hope this gives you an idea of where to start

Thanks for the answer.
I will try your way...
But what do you think about a loft, you know, a shape and a line (a compound object)...?

That would give you the basic shape, but you still have to push vertices.
Another possible way would be to extrude the group of polygons that make up the "pod" and with judicious creating of edges, etc,build up the shape.
