Hi Jrpilot. I've seen this problem mentioned before. You might find the answer on the M$ knowledge base. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;187916
The M$ site is continually being updated & some of my links to support articles for the older sims no longer work.

I can't really figure it out. This might depend on your OS & I have no knowledge of WinXP. Providing you're not using the Minimal install option FS2002 never needed a CD in the drive to run.

Did you unistall it first and remove all folders from your system first. And did you put it in the same palce as the old one was. If you reinstalled it into a different location than before and did not uninstall it first and remove all old folders. You will have two copies on your system and it might become confused as to which on is which.
If you reinstalled it on top of the old location you may have left a old fs2002 cfg file there. You will need to delete this and let it try again. It will build a new one.

The other question is why did you uninstall it to start with?

Hi jrpilot,

When you did the install, did you do a complete install?

If you did less than the full install, FS must load stuff  from the CD's. (CD3 contains the scenedb files)

Might try another install and make sure you select the full install.

Cheers,
Dave
