Do you have any doubts? It's like my other hobby, free diving, during the last six years I am into that I have never met a female diver... not even a mermaid  Smiley

I was just beginning to wonder if there was such a thing as a female in a cockpit.   Undecided

Oh come on....

I know several women who are into Aviation. My flight instructor, a co worker, and there's several new females who are taking groundschool, including one younger girl who I would guess in her early to mid teens

I also know a few other girls who would love to learn to fly if they had the money

Mid teens? Is it possible for someone to start lessons that young? In Greece you cannot even start car driving lessons unless you are 18.

Actually if I'm not mistaken in the US you can start flight training at the age of 10 years old. I don't think you can solo until 15-16? I'll have too look that up.

BTW, Welcome to the club Sue!

In most countries you can take flying lessons from an early age. You just can't have a licence or go solo. (You can also learn to drive a car on private property.) Popular display pilot Martyn Carrington has been flying since he was 9 years old & qualified for his PPL on his 17th birthday.

The daring aerobatics Utterly Butterly team, based in Rendcomb, will also be returning to Kemble this year.

Utterly Butterly wingwalker Helen Tempest, from Chalford, said: "This is the job of my dreams.

"One of my favourite stunts involves one bi-plane turning upside down with me harnessed to it while another bi-plane flies underneath creating a mirror image."

Pilot Martyn Carrington, from Perrots Brook, added: "I've been flying since I was nine and I joined the Utterly Butterly team five years ago. It's fantastic and very exhilarating."
