Hello Fellow Aviators,
Sorry to ask yet another question on the auto pilot but I'm just wondering if there is any way I can stop my latest problem?
The problem is when I'm on short final, established on the ILS with 300 Ft to run, I swith off the auto pilot to land manually, I find that the A/P CMD turns off, but the SPD function is still on, I then have to manually press the SPD to turn it off.
Also, I can't set the Kias or Mach Speeds using the SPD or MACH button unless I set it via FSNav.
Is the A/P CMD in MSFS different to the A/T ARM and do I need to turn that on/off seperately - (The Auto Pilot Gauge I use hasn't got a A/T ARM) ((I'm using the Lear 45 Auto Pilot))
So yeah, do I need to turn on /off the A/T ARM via a keystroke?? Or should this type of A/P gauge do it Automatically??
I hope I haven't confused you !!!!!
Any thoughts/Suggestions would be mostly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I Like Flight Simulation!
Some aircraft require autothrottle arming and some don't. The Lear 45 doesn't. If an aircraft it reqires A/T arming there is usually a switch on the A/P panel that says "A/T Arm". You have to turn that on before A/T will work, but I believe Shift+R will work, too.
If A/T is armed you shouldn't need to set your speed with FSNav - just plug in your desired speed and hit the SPD button.
When you turn off the AP the speed hold doesn't turn off - at least it doesn't in my sim so I assume that's normal. You have turn it off by hitting the SPD button again or Shift+R.
I have a .doc with all of the default keyboard commands. Send me a pm or email if you would like a copy.

Thanks WebbPA
I've taken up on your offer and have sent an e-mail requesting the .doc.
I kind of figured I needed to turn off the A/T individually.
Thanks again
