G'day fellow aviator's
I'm having a problem with my aircrafts auto pilot.
The HEADING and COURSE dials only want to increase/ decease by 10 degrees at a time, the ALTITUDE will only adjust 1000 Ft at a time - (there is no in-between)
I've tried using a different auto pilot but have the same problem.
I use the auto pilot I have in the panel it came with ( a different aircraft) and it adjusts fine.
I'm thinking it must be in the Aircraft's .cfg or .air file., but would rather ask first before I go looking any further.
Just wondering if any one else has had this problem, and if there's any suggestions on how to rectify this problem I would be mostly appreciative.
Thanks in advance

I remember this coming up before. It may have been in FS2000. So you are saying it's only this aircraft? It may be a gauge thing then and might just require replacing of the gauge. Sorry if I didn't get it right, I am a little confused *just woke up.*
I'll set this one to notify of replies and get back to you when you respond.

Sounds more like a hardware problem(keep in mind that I'm a computer chromagnon man), but if it occurs with ALL A/P control heads and on all aircraft, maybe try another input source. Mouse to Keyboard or Vice Versa.
.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

OTTOL, quote from him. Good idea though:

Yeah thanks Fellas,
Just to clarify a through things,
It is only with this aircraft.
The Auto Pilot Gauge comes from the original "DEFAULT" Lear 45 from FS2002 Standard.
It works fine in the Lear 45.
I've replaced the Lear 45 Auto Pilot with the default Boeing 737 Auto pilot and get the same result.
It only tunes the OBS 10 Degrees at a time
e.g. if I would like to turn left heading 275 Degrees, The A/P only accepts 270 or 280 Degrees.
If I'm instructed to desence to 3300 Feet, the A/P only accepts 4000 or 3000 feet.
Hope this helps in understanding my problem.
I'm wondering if there is something in the .air file under auto pilot that needs to be checked.
Again, any suggestions would be most appreciated

Hadnt used 2002 for a while, but remembered having similar problems. So tried to recreate.
Of all the panels I tried the only one that behaved that way is the default 737-400 (crs, hdg and ias by 10, alt by 1000 and vs by 100). Happens most of the time, although sometimes by 1 to 3 for a couple clicks, and regardless of input. So maybe theres a glitch in that AP.
Cant say I remember that being a constant problem in the past, but like i said havent used it for a while.
Cheers,
Dave
??What a/c-panel is causing the problem?

Have you FSUIPC installed?
if so open FSUIPC, go to the section marked technical and place a tick in the box against "Fix Control Acceleration".
Hope this helps, arthurplum.

Great call Arthur!
Dont have a FSUIPC to 'open', just the dll in FS2002/modules, but opened 'fsuipc.ini', also in the module folder, and found the line 'fixcontrolaccel=no'.
Changed to 'yes' and the 737 ap appears back to normal.
Thanks
Cheers,
Dave
Doh! Found the fsuipc control, on FS <alt> menu bar under modules
Heck of a place to put it.

Thank you both dave and Aurther,
I've adjusted the FSCUIP.ini File and it worked.
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Kind Regards
