I've had FS2002 for about a year and a half but finally decided to ask these questions. I have a problem with AI aircraft getting stuck prior to takeoff. It usually happens at the position just prior to the hold-short. It will just sit there while other traffic backs-up behind it. I've noticed it more and more since I've have installed more FP's. It randomally happens at different airports and to different aircraft. I've check the AFCAD and there isn't any problems. Is this a MS FS2002 bug? Also my FS2002 hesitates momentarily. It's only for a split second but it's noticiable. Any thoughts?

In AFCAD, put a regular node before the hold short node on the taxiway. It will solve the problem with the AI. It has for me. I think it also says that in the AFCAD Q&A section.

Hmm, I remember that being an issue too. I don't know what I did to fix it, but it had nothing to do with AFcad.

Ya it's a common problem, even without extra AI. Look at Bermuda International. That taxiway arrangement was just askin' for trouble.

Re: The stuttering screen....
I have 512Mb of ram in my system and FS 2002/2004 can consums at least half of that while the program runs. (Full install).
(Win '98SE is limited to 512 Mb).
The system resources running in the background can consume almost all of the rest of the memory!
As this limit is reached the program stutters while the limited memory is sorting itself out.
My cure is to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and shut down everything except Explorer and Systray.
(Leave "Grab-Clip-Save" running if screen grabs are required).
This frees-up a larger amount of memory for FS to use.
This program, posted by another member, (thanks!), is a dream to check all of your system, (including a running check of system resources and memory usage)....>>>

Adding the normal node seems to work, I was in quite a long line waiting to take-off at KATL yesterday and had no problems and KATL was where I've notice it happen before.........Thanks F-16. Anyone else having the problem with crappy FR's at Simflyers JFK?
