Hi Guys,

I wish to un-install and re-install the FS and I am hoping that you can help with the un-install part of the proceedure.  I was thinking I might just delete the FS2k2 folder and then install the prog. again, but it might just be more complex than that; so, the cry for help.

Regards to all,

Pilot.

Your best bet to get a good clean install will be to use the uninstall feature of FS2002, or go to control panel and add/remove programs.

Just deleting the folder may leave other files somewhere else, and will severly mess up the system registry when you reinstall it again, thus causing you even more problems..Smiley

Hope this helps...

I would go for the add/remove programs which will for sure clean the registry (the most critical part of an installation). Oftenly the add/remove does not delete the directory itself but since the regitry will be clean you can delete the directory manually.

Please never delete any program to remove it. Always use the correct uninstall procedure. With FS2002 there are 3 methods.

1. Insert CD-1 & select Uninstall.
2. Use the Windows Add/Remove Programs feature.
3. Run FSUNINSTALL.EXE in the FS2002 main directory folder by double-clicking the icon.

All 3 methods do exactly the same by running FSUNINSTALL.EXE.  This will only remove the files it originally installed. To do a Full Uninstall you would delete the FS2002 directory folder before reinstalling it. It's always a good idea to reboot your PC after uninstalling any program to make sure the Windows registry entries are updated.
