Smaller size ican get is like 50 miles long! now i know that they should be modelled in meters but somehow they dont´and now when ireszie them itis godzila or the migthy mouse.
Can someone explain me how to make the model to appear the rigth size? or how to scale it or something?

First of all, how DO you scale it?

Did you set your system unit preferences to 1 unit=1 meter?

Prowler,

Have a look at this, especially the part about the different version of makemdl.exe.

i used to have the very same problem...

this is how i figure out the scale so it looks right in FS

the thing is, you have to set gmax for 1 unit = 1 meter and THEN you have to measure and resize your model according to the new figures...

what i do after configuring the scale settings is take a known measure such as wingspan and use the tape tool.

specify the lenght of the tape as the plane's wingspan. you'll see it will not fit on the plane... probably will be much smaller.

then all you have to do is uniform scale your model so that it's wingspan matches the tape.

now it should look normal Smiley

hope it helped

Thank you all, firestraker, that link enlighted me, so what i finally didd was reinstall the whole thing and acording to what i learned in the link just exported it,  and presto! it did. Only this time i didn´t play around whit the unit preferences, the program can and will adjust it. JUST don´t mess with it.
Oh and i used middlemn v1.3. that helped too.
about the new fs9 sdk..well..IMHO i think that you should start from scratch before anything. Or you will spend lot of time pulling hairs and treating your moitor like i did
Thank you all!
best regards
