Don't mess with presets - just tag the props prop_still, prop_slow prop_blurred (if only one prop, or prop0_still, prop0_slow, prop0_blurred, etc. if more than 1)

the propx_still/slow/blurred tags are default animations.

I just learned last night.  I'm tinkering with a dual prop aircraft.  Each engine/side needs two props and one disc.  Label one prop "prop0_still" and one "prop0_slow" label the disc "prop0_blurred". do the same for the other side prop1_still, prop1_slow, etc.  About the disc, after giving it color/texture there is a ALPHA variable that you can set to make the disc transparent. Hope this helped

Skittles - glad you figured it out.

On the prop disk, and this entirely optional and to your tastes, you may want to experiment with cutting some of the polygons making the disk so you have the effect of blurred blades...

Now,your next assignment, figure out an animation with which to use the lav_dump_valve part ...Smiley

Thanks for the idea of the blade.  Lav_dump_valve? Is that what I think it is? Lavatory Dumping Valve?  I need to work on the ailerons and basic stuff first.  I just designed my first aircraft last night, got a very crude virt cockpit.  I still have a long way to go.

A long time ago, when Hagar was in diapers, and people would request all sorts of eye candy (that are now normal in models, but with the Flightsim versions and tools of the time weren't possible) a standard response would be that the model wasn't complete without an LDV (Lavatory Dump Valve).

Louis Sinclair  - who has quite a sense of humor - came up with the part as an additional keyframe animation.

Deep down, it's a glorified water_rudder part, so you need the corresponding aircraft.cfg entry, but it has been known to be used in lavatory seat/handle animations and other, more serious uses.

Until somebody gave out the secret, it was one thing that FSDS users could brag about over the gmaxers <G>
