I have this card cooking pretty well.but i was wondering in the settings theres a overdrive setting and i am not shure what it dose or if it helps or hinders performance.thanks for any thoughts or ideas on this.

I have the 9800XT and it also has overdrive.
The XT cards have a built-in heat sensor. When you have overdrive enabled it automatically overclocks your card, not by much, if your heat is in the good range nothing is done, but if your card starts to get too hot it sets your clock rate back down to normal clock speed.
