I just installed FS 2004, and find that

- the electronic kneeboard keeps popping up,

- the views (cockpit, virtual cockpit, tower, etc.) keeps cycling every couple of seconds

- the flaps start off all the way down, and whenever I try to get them up, they go back down.

Graphics and frame rate are great!

I have the 4.1 drivers from ATI installed.

P4 3G, 512 RAM, All-In-Wonder 96000 Pro

Any ideas??

Just a thought but maybe a faulty joystick.unplug it and see if any diffrence comes about.and if its not the joystick then it maybe the keyboards going bad.something for you to look into.but i cant think of anything eles that would cause that to happen.except a wireless keyboard or mouse ive heard they can make funny unwanted things happen to a computer.

SUCCESS! Smiley

When I fired up in safe mode, all was OK (except for the single digit frame rate).

Turns out the problem was a program running in the background that connects to my Eveready UPS via a USB cable to get battery status, and save files when the AC fails.

I guess I'll have to shut this one down whenever I want to run FS.
