Sorry, no new campaigns just yet. Check out the Fox Four site in the next few days for the new Extras section. The guys have been busy on other things over the last few months. In the meantime Mike Eustace has created some great new panels (with his latest split panel feature) including one for the F-86 Sabre used in The Hunters campaign.

...
...

Collin Glendinning, our naval adviser & chief beta tester, has created some brand new ships for use in missions with the help of Tom Sanford. These include the Colossus Class carrier HMS Ocean. Here's a preview of his latest HMS Belfast. This is still being tweaked & tested.

...
...
...
...

I'll be updating the site & posting these files shortly. Others will be added as they're finished.

The Fox Four project is now in its 2nd year & we hope to carry on as we started with quality as our first priority. This means that things take a while to get right. Thanks to everyone for your continuing support. Wink

Yes all Collin's ships are excellent. Mike's panels too. The guys have been on a much-needed break & have commitments in the real world. I can't give definite dates. I would not expect any new campaign to be ready before Spring at the earliest.

I take that as a compliment coming from you Woody. We will be doing a Commonwealth campaign featuring Hayden's new Sea Fury operating from HMS Ocean some time in the future. I'm not sure about HMS Belfast. You would have to ask Collin about that. He's pretty hot on this stuff. Smiley

Grin Thanx bat.

I've been working with LoD models at the same time to reduce framerates. I think I've got it fairly well balanced with the MiG and I've updated the Sabre as well. The updated model should be available on the Fox Four extras page soon, if it's not already there. With these two as decent LoD models, I think that they will make good multi-player planes. Who knows, we may yet have a roaring Korean War multi-player community  Wink

I think Fang has toddled off up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire.

Yes. All our flyable aircraft have a full DVC & all the bells & whistles. Wink

PS. This does not include the JWB Panther used in the Bunker Hill campaign. We have since decided to create all our own stuff. This will take longer but will give us full control over future releases.

I've tried all our aircraft, including my own AI Only drones, in FS2002. All work fine. They're all created with FSDS2 so should also be compatible with FS9. I'm not sure about the flight dynamics though. These are optimised for CFS2.

Stratobat's link does not include USN or USMC types or a full list of USAF types involved. This page gives a more accurate picture.

LOL You would have to ask Collin Or Tom. They're usually most particular with this sort of thing. I must confess that I haven't tried it myself yet. I would normally check out all the files before posting them but I don't know much about ships.

Hi Craig, I tried to get the ship to behave accurately.
Thats why she rock an rolls to that extent, its modelled to about a 15 foot swell.
Should you wish to change this, look into the cfg and go to the bottom of the page and alter/delete the Dynamics.
Alternatively, eat dry biscuits, apples and drink plenty of water and have a plastic bag handy. Lips Sealed

Now where's that bit of bacon with dripping grease on it?

Brilliant ships. Well done to all concerned. Now I have a decent British carrier to fly my Sea Venom, Seahawk and Wyvern from. If you want less of a swell adjust the bottom of the aircraft.cfg like this.

[Dynamics]
pitch_wave_moment_scale = 1.0
bank_wave_moment_scale  = 1.0
pitch_damp_moment_scale = 1.0
bank_damp_moment_scale  = 1.0

Seems to be ok.

Of course you can always increase the pitch etc for a bit more difficulty.
HMS Ocean and the USS Repose have landing lights for night missions, so get practising.

I've just posted a new improved multi-LOD update for Fang's F-86 Sabre. This should improve your frame rates in missions & online.

I got them from the Royal Navy Aviation Collection cd which was released by VFR scenery. I got it after their website disappeared(with my money). I had to wait for ages to get it, even had to contact trading standards. You might try FCS(Flight Craft Simulations) or Shiguru Flight Sim Models.

It's got 2 Sea Venoms. One with Suez stripes, one without and the same for the Wyverns and Skyraiders.

you should take a look over at the sim-outhouse, theres an Ark Royal IV and V. Though the IV has the visual model of an angled deck but not the physical model ie. you will fall through what apears to be the waist cat Tongue

Site updated again. Mike's latest Sabre panel now available in 2 versions. These match the DVC in both versions of Fang's F-86E/F.
