I'm kinda new to PCs (have spent last 15 years working on Macs!) and am now addicted to CFS2. BUT as it was originally created to simulate the Pacific arena, is there a way to change the colour of the sea to be more like the North Sea, English Cannel, Atlantic etc for when one is using add-ons such as BoB Memorial Flight, Dambusters,Jump Jet etc? The bright blue of the Pacific just tends to spoil the illusion when, for example, youre flying over Dover to go and intercept a bunch of German raiders over the Channel.

Thanks.

Hi Barnstormer and welcome.

You can't change the water from the game, there are no buttons to push in other words. There is however an excellent download you can get that you will be very pleased and give you all kinds of options.

This download is called PacTex. It is mesh scenery and the file now comes with Pacific water and land textures and Euro water and land textures. It is a fairly large file in all and you really need to pay attention to the install instructions so you can switch back and forth between the "Pacific" look and the "European" look. Get the file here:  http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/brigstock/CFS.htm

I have been using them now for a long time for CFS2 and wouldn't fly without them, they are that good.

Good luck and hope this helps.

lol... Yeah, when I build missions for CFS2, troop carriers and Spits don't look that good over teal-colored water... Undecided

Ya the landmasses are there, but they are plain, open, and rather boring in my opinion. Tongue
