Kevin Ryan (Pippin) is stepping down as a moderator here - being a family man can have it's pressures & Kevin has decided to get some priorities right
So Simviation is looking for a willing volunteer to take his place! Naturally certain qualities are called for - :
1. Be a regular simviation user
2. Have a good command of the english language, at least.
3. Be familiar with the layout & content of this site. i.e. - the site map should hold no surprises!
4. Be mature enough to handle the occasional flamer calmly & politely. Be able to stand back from hot discussions or extreme viewpoints.
5. Be very familiar with FS / CFS
& 6. Common sense is by far the most critical factor. 8)
Our forum moderators do a fantastic job in helping us all to combine fun, learning & general discussion with fellow FS/CFS enthusiasts around the globe, right here.
No need to reply here if you are interested. A PM to me will do.
& Thank you!
Think Global. It's the world we live in.

When the answer's obvious, no questioning is needed.

Common sense can be found here.
In a needle-in-a-haystack kind of way, it is possible
LOL

AJ I don't think this is the right way to go about getting a mod. position

LOL Ozzy, that's one of the benefits of having two little children and a full time job as a nurse...never have to wonder if the missus would give me permission to accept a time consuming position as a moderator...she would never have it
.
As it is I can only fly my Fokker 70's secretly on short regional flights when she (and the baby) is asleep. The "Whoop-whoop GLIDESLOPE-PULL UP" is enough to wake them up so I'm a very careful and precise pilot.

Fair one AJ, my mum was a nurse, so I'm fully sympathetic to your plight.
The only reason the missus lets me do this is so she can have complete control of the TV remote

I'd give it a go. But I may fall down on point 4. Though i've got a bit better on that one recently...
Woodlouse2002 PITA and BAR!!!!!!!!&&&&Our Sovereign Lord the King chargeth and commandeth all persons, being assembled, immediately to disperse themselves, and peaceably to depart to their habitations, or to their lawful business, upon the pains contained in the Act made in the first year of King George the First for preventing tumults and riotous assemblies. God Save the King.&&&&Viva la revolution!
