Its quite Official, Pigs do fly!

A friend rang me the other night, told me to enter some co-ordinates into CFS1 and Voila!  La Piggy !!!!

I've lost the scrap of paper that had the co-ordinates (sry!) wondered if Hagar had found this little "easter egg" as I think there refered to....

I'll see if I can find it again & grap a screenie....

Whilst I'm on CFS1,To get two extra missions in Comabt Flight Simulator, go to the program file in the Start menu then go to Microsoft games, then Combat Flight Simulator, then Missions. Look for folder labeled;

special.mi_ and team.mi_

change these to read

special.mis and team.mis

the special mission will give you a mission based on World War I planes
the Team Mission will give a mission against the software developers.

I'm off to trawl through CFS3, theres a damn Turkey to be found, I'm sure.......  Wink

Hi Scania. This is an old chestnut Easter Egg. I used to know the co-ords but it was so long ago I've forgotten. The pig is somewhere near Stonehenge if that's any help. Grin

You're welcome. If you find it post shots. Wink

As I recall it's not visible from all angles, or Spot View come to that. Tis a very strange pig. Grin

It's dangling below the flying saucer.
If you want to get rid of it/them....
Go to the cfs/scenery/all/scenery folder and remove the ppp000.bgl.
Or save it somewhere else.

Dave. Click the Upload Images link at the top of this page. Follow the instructions & upload your shot. Then read this. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=screen;action=display;num=...

PS. I just noticed the images in that thread have disappeared. This is a pity. Pete deleted all images over 6 months old from the server recently. If you have problems post again & I'll walk you through it.

OK. You're almost there. First click the Insert Image icon on the toolbar just above the post window. You now need to add the full path including the exact file name of your image to the path, replacing the letters URL between the 2 sets of brackets. The path is shown on the Upload Images page after you succesfully upload an image. The easist way is to copy/paste it into the thread but use your own image name instead of the example.

The problem is that I can't type the complete thing here or you won't see it. The path to the upload folder without the image name is http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/

Assuming the file name of your shot is dave_pig1.jpg the full path would be http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/dave_pig1.jpg

This goes between the 2 sets of brackets like this.
[img]http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/dave_pig1.jpg

Don't leave any spaces in the path or between the brackets. I deliberately included one so it displays here. The file name is case sensitive including the .jpg file extension. If it's .JPG type dave_pig1.JPG

It sounds much more complicated than it actually is.

Still can't see it. You're using the wrong path. Right-click on the red cross & select Properties to find out. This is what yours is
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/ %20

The path is wrong & the image has no file extension. Also, the % sign shows there is a space in the path between the image name & the last /
Remember I told you - No spaces.......!

Assuming the image name is 20.jpg this is the correct path. http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/20.jpg

It doesn't look much like a screenshot to me. LOL

PS. 20.jpg is not a particularly inventive choice for an image name. It's best to give it your own unique name before uploading it. Otherwise you might overwrite someone else's image or more likely they will do the same to yours. Wink

I don't think you can have uploaded the image. Click this link http://www.simviation.com/yabbupload.html
You should see this
...
Click on the Browse button & select the image from wherever it is on your HD so it shows in the box.. Then click the Upload Files button at the bottom. When the image has been uploaded you should see this.
...
I've underlined the path in red. Copy/paste that in between the [img] brackets & add the exact file name of your image. Don't forget it's case sensitive.

You're using the wrong upload page. I suspect you uploaded the images to where people upload files for posting. The Upload Images link is on the menu right at the top of this forum page, not on the main site. Try the link from my previous reply.

Just for reference, %20 is the escaped form of a space. Put more simply, some boards cannot handle spaces in image names, and so all spaces are replaced with the "escaped" version, which is %20.

Now you know!
