Just in case you haven't noticed (I'm very noticing) in the cockpit shot, shouldn't the right mirror have the other side of the pilots face?  Grin Grin Grin

But seriously, those are INCREDIBLE shots, wish I could get something like this...  Cry  Wink

You can get that  Grin! It is a very HUUUUUGE!!  Shocked File though. Which takes time to download even on a DSL connection the file is 31,333 KB  Sad So you will be waiting a while to get this baby!

But it is well worth it! Go to Flightsim.com and look in the newest files section (will take you a while to log in). Then go watch a TV show and wait for your computer to tell you when its finished downloading.

Trust me when I say the first time you strap in and take off you will be in awe of this Jet. High speed lift off renders contrails (which are not correctly positioned) But they are there! Do a few barrel rolls and check out the contrails  Grin! GREAT BALLS OF FIRE!

Hey Swanney how about some xtreme close ups! Do this fighter some justice!

OH BTW,

Lay off the Airbrakes (spoilers), just as the read me file says these are not intended to help you slow down while in flight. They are intended to make you come to a sudden stop when landing on a very short runway such as a carrier. Beleive me when you hit the spoilers , you lose your lunch! That is how fast it stops you! Totally eliminates the need for the arrcab program! Landing on that carrier available here at simV should be easy with this plane!

Cheers,

Sam

Very nice shots!

I just love that aircraft, but did anyone else modify the panel also?

btw, an F-18 showed up in yesterdays FS2004 downloads. Anyone download it yet? Is it a Gmax model?

Stay away from that F18. I downloaded it last night! I don't want to make fun of the designer (I can't do better) But that plane looks like a rookie designer put it together. The airfile is definately not one of a hornet, it flies more like a cesna ( No sharp turns, no barrel roll capabilities) The aircraft is not highly detailed...dare I say it......

I will  Grin

ABACUS's Flight Deck 3 FA/18 hornet looks and flies better! Grin

This F14 Tomcat is awesome though. It has its short comings like the following.

They forgot frontal landing lights
They forgot the auto pilot controls on the panel

But everything on this cat gives it a 8 out of 10! The afterburner effect is great and I like the smoke fumes effect when the burners are not displaying!

The autopilot is no problem. I had to add it to both the F-14 and the F-16 panels, among many other things

As for the landing lights, I hope it's fixed

Here's your FPS test Birdman! Although it says locked at 20fps I think I can adjust it to be a whole lot faster in the hardware device settings section.
