about Sabena, we have another one, if you understand Dutch: "Sex aan boord en niks anders" which means "Sex on board and nothing else".
of course it means (historically) "Societe Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aerienne"  Wink

Not acronyms but when I worked at Gatwick Airport we referred to it as Gatport Airwick. One of the airlines (now sadly defunct) was Dan Air - commonly known by everyone as Dan Dare (an old comic strip hero). I still use these terms today. The airline management & employees didn't like that for some reason. ???

I don't think anyone but an old Brit like me would understand this at all. Roll Eyes 8)
