Instead of going around the world i was hopeing to hop from continent to continent in a Beechcraft Baron 58. Just I cant find any runways in The southern continent of Antartica. (preferibly one with a refeuling facility.) I'll keep searching myself for add on scenery. Cheers.

There are no built in runways but there are some addons.  The one I have is called ata2k2_a.zip by Bill Freeborn.  I forgot where I got it, though.

I started a flight around the continent but never finished it because of FS's wacky behavior near the poles.

Yeah, FS has a real issue with flying around the poles.  It has somethng to do with the shape of the FS world.  Instead of a sphere or ovoid, its a cylinder.  So at the top or bottom of the cylinder there are some weird things that will happen.

But as for those airstrips, just do searches on either this site, avsim.com or flightsim.com for the word "Antarctica" and you will get a number of entries.

OR!! if you have FSNavigator you will find airfields in Antarctica included.

And that is where I intend heading shortly while we come up to the peak of southern summer.

Cheers

If I were you, I wouldn't go straight through Antarctica or the Arctic.  I would get as far as I can from the poles, as FS has a real hard time dealing with both those areas.

Try making a trip to the nearest Antarctica base and then skirting the coast and coming up on the other side.

Ok. Cheers. like you said before FS world is like a cylinder not a sphere. Thanks for all the advise!
(I'm going to go down from the southern most airfeilf in South America then land in Antartica. Then skirt around the coast, land, then go on one long haul up to New Zeland If my tanks are big enough!) Cheers.
