My specs are similar and I have it running OK. I do get stutters but no so bad that it makes it unplayable. However if I play for say an hour or so, the stutters start to get worse. I rarely get more than an hours flying in anyway so it's not so bad but I guess if you are flying a campaign this could become a major issue.
I have aircraft and clouds at 5 and everything else at 4.

I have a similar system but with a 64MB R-9000 and it plays fine except over London or looking at a aaircraft factory. I can play for unlimited time without any problems. Hawker, check your cooling fans, sounds like you are over heating as I can't think of anything that would change. They don't get tired. Also keep your screen vents clean. When dust clogs em, they can over heat.

Interesting thought, but I reckon it's a memory issue rather than cooling. Still, I can always rip off the side of the case and give it a go.

Tempest, I would highly recommend that you turn your clouds down. I find that the clouds are the biggest drag as far as graphics go. If you put you clouds down to say 3 then you could put Aircraft up to 5 and probably a couple of the others. I have clouds set at 1 and they still look fine. Except I rarely use them because it eats up my RAM with clouds in the sky.
Kemplen I recommend the same. Keep the clouds graphics as low as you can. It is the biggest drain on system resources. I can play CFS3 for about an hour with out many major issues. However if I play too long then the scenery graphics start to go and so the the effects. Then I know its time for a reboot!
