bored so took a trip to see Invesco field in both 2004 and 2002 huge differance. and to those who want new challenge, go fly under the walkway at Denver international, not easy with crash detection on

the old Mile High stadium due to the altitude here playing is both difficult but also helped, the rareified atmosphere means throws, punts and field goals go at least 10 yards further than normal
...

crashed into the stands of mile high just after this shot, stupid hovering harrier:)
...

and the absolutly stunning Invesco field at mile high
...

this stadium, is only 2 years old and built right across the road from the old stadium(now a parking lot)
...
anyone wanna take a guess as to what the dome is there??? i have no clue and have never seen it before from both pictures and games on tv

The dome is the old McNichols Arena.  Named after a former mayor of Denver, I think.  It was home for the Colorado Avalanche and the Denver Nuggets.  IT was open from 1972-1999.

It no longer exists- it has been replaced by the new, state of the art Pepsi Center.  The Pepsi Center really should be in ACOF (since it opened in 1999), but I guess M$ was lazy (what's new??).

http://www.spaceimaging.com/gallery/denver/index.htm-a VIEW from space- shows McNichols, Old Mile High, New Invesco under construction, and the Pepsi Center.

Nice shots...
