Will FS2004 scenery, default or add-on, work with 2002? I've toyed with the idea of copying my 2004 scenery database into 2002 and changing a few .cfg files but it's a huge folder and it may end up being completely incompatible.

Jim. This was discussed here a while ago. You should be able to find the thread with a quick search. There's a tute posted somewhere on swapping textures & I checked it out. It works for me. It's also reported to improve frame rates. I don't think this involved editing CFG files. Should be safe enough if you back up folders as you go.

Thanks. I would have searched it but I'm here pretty regularly and I don't recall seeing it. I'm lazy, too.

I tried it with the Fraser bridge in the Vancouver area. It works like a charm. I will try the Kai Tak scenery too, let you know how it works out

No don't. It's not compatible - won't bore you with the reasons. FS2002 version being uploaded VERY soon.
It's got more in it too (groooaaaan....even more of a FR hit
)

Thanks Rollerball, I got it, it's great. That 31 approach was easy with the SA Twin Pin, but I'd hate to try it in a 747 LOL

Your welcome.
13 is the approach with the 47 deg right turn - 31 is straightforward.
Did you see the ferries and the cruise ship yet? The cruise ship takes off after 5 minutes at about 30kts or so which is the right sort of speed and does a complete circuit of Hong Kong Island. It doesn't disappear or anything like that so if you're in the right sort of plane you can go look for it.
It's a first I think
He he - imagine if you could do the same with a Carrier.....

My fingers got tangled again. I meant to type 13 and 31 came out, tut tut.This is great scenery. I use the Twin Pin, cuz I can fly it at 30Kt and follow the Ferry from Vancouver, Horseshoe bay to Nanaimo. The HK ships are great and the boats too. I'm sure I saw Sai Wan Suzie leaning over the rail;)
