Well I've had this MS Force Feedback 2 Joystick for over 2 years, and suddenly it seems it wants to stop working correctly. It is all calibrated as it usually is, but I cannot twist the handle anymore to move the rudders. Plus if I view the aircraft in the outside view, I can see the rudder jumping and shaking around.

I went to the game controller options in windows and found a weird thing happening. If I go to the test tab and press nothing, the rudder slider isn't centered and the throttle slider is all the way full. The second I move something around it goes back to normal. This is obviously my problem but I have no way of fixing it... can somebody help me? I dread having to buy a new joystick because I cannot afford one right now! (although I'd love to have either the ch products or the saetik)

Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi Big_Al.
I use this same joystick and have not had this problem myself. It sounds like you might have a loose connection inside the stick. It is not unlikely with all the vibration going on in there. My suggestion would be to take it apart and try resoldering all the connections. the sticky topic at the top of the hardware forum talks about this with a logitec stick i think. If you don't feel like takeing the stick apart then im pretty sure you will have to replace it or live with the problem.
Hope you get it sorted out,

Kevin

Did you try it on a different game?

Remove the stick from the device manager, turn off your PC and unplug the stick, reboot and reinstall the stick.

If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the soundcard.

Failing that maybe it's a hardware fault as said above.
